What the heck is NaNoWriMo?
I’m glad you asked! NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which takes place in November. Writers come together online to write! You can set word goals or editing hour goals, and you just have fun!
Okay, great. But this says CAMP NaNoWriMo.
Yes, that’s right. NaNoWriMo holds Camp every April and July. You can think of it like the regular one hosted in November, but this one is a little more social. They revamped the site this past year, but before you got put into Cabins of 20 people. Now we just have groups, but the concept is still there. Super fun!
THIS MONTH’S PROJECT
This month I’m starting a new project! Okay, that’s a lie. I’m revamping an old project. One that was a fanfiction before…You know, the details aren’t important!
All I can say is I’m SUPER excited to be writing a novel. I have spent years plotting random novels and writing fanfiction, which is why I’m so happy to get down and actually write a real novel.
You’ll hear more about my project as time goes on, but for now I’ll give you a few buzz words.
Princes. Family. Romance. Gender. Murder. Duty.
My NaNoWriMo goal is set at 50,000 words, but I’m hoping to get a little further than that!
NaNoWriMo doesn’t start until April 1st, but I already have a head start on both planning and word-counts, so I’m feeling great! The more I plan and write now, the smoother the next month will be.
I hope you are all excited to go on this journey with me! I know I’m so happy I can post and share about it with you all. Maybe someday soon I’ll be sending ARCs to you all. 😉
